This light is amazing, put on a side walk of house, lights up really well... doesn't look much, but don't be fooled it works great, and feel more secure when taking bin from back garden to front now it lights up my way with nights drawing in... so buy with confidence !!!
I would just like to say how pleased i am with having got my first two led light for my back garden , which remained on all night just what i wanted so pleased with the lights I sent off for two more lights to go on the wall by the garage even in low sunlight the solar unit charges and its free power

The light will shine bright when it senses somebody moving nearby and will automatically switch off after 15 seconds when nobody is in range.
This is really good value for money and worked well it comes with the screws to put up too and it does not weigh a lot to. Perfect outdoor light, highly recommend!
all the best Graham.
Quality product very bright, easy to fix up and very neat product would highly recommend
Had these, as I bought two three weeks and have worked perfectly well since day one. They have been in heavy rain and very hot sun no problem. I have them at the top of my fence and work well
I have 5 of these now and cannot fault them at all. They charge fully and come on with the slightest motion. Perfect for a large garden that is pitch black at night. They are super bright and stay on for 15 seconds, turn off and come right back on again with any motion.
This light is surprisingly small but really bright, and for the price is ideal for what I wanted. It's mounted 3.5m up on a south facing wall and really lights up our patio when triggered. Fixing is easy, by two small screws, one on either side. Simply leave it in a sunny spot for a couple of hours to get some charge into the battery, select your chosen mode of operation, then fix in place. I chose this unit (1byOne) rather than the MPow version because it offers an Off-until-triggered mode, which the other versions don't appear to. The blurb suggests it has 'intelligent drainage' holes to allow rainwater to drain through, although they are so small I find that implausible. I also covered the rear mode switch with a piece of UPVC tape to prevent any water getting. So, 5 stars for price and performance (and delivery from Amazon) . On the downside there is no adjustment for sensitivity or duration of illumination, and of course the neat packaging only makes it suitable for use in well lit spots. Horses for courses, but for less than a tenner I'd thoroughly recommend it.
these lights are a great idea. ideal for security, I bought 2,. I have only had them up a short while, one at the front and one at the back. I haven't had a chance to see how the batteries charge up, but they give a lovely bright light , but its summer now. whether they charge up well in the winter, remains to be seen, but at the moment they are fine.
I bought two of these. Even though they are quiet small they look a little ugly high up there on my garden wall, I think they stand out because of the black casing but they actually work really well. Very good for the price I think. They seem to get sun on them during the early morning and then as the sun moves round they don't seem to be directly in the light. Then at nighttime they light up very bright for 3 or 4 hours.
great product surprisingly powerful I have a small back garden and light up the place pretty well won't complete with mains powered external light but is really good if you want something what will light up the area so you don't wonder in the dark is the perfect product
The light arrives in a none descript standard brown box containing the light fitting, some mounting screws to fit the light and a set of instructions. The light is slightly smaller than I thought it would be but none the less I would reserve judgement until I had seen it in action. It did look quite robust in its manufacturing so I knew it had to be designed to withstand the elements.
The light works using one of three different modes which are High Light / Dim Light / High Light operated by the sensor. This is also controlled by the sunrise and sun set detection which saves the battery from being wasted when not required in the daylight. I found this to be the case and the detection sensor would ensure the light was not functioning during daylight.
Inside the light are 8 LED’s providing 1.6w of power each which is an upgrade on previous versions of the light. This seems reasonable but obviously doesn’t compare to the mains powered spotlights. It is however self-sustaining so this needs to be considered when comparing the two styles. The PIR sensor that is included on the unit is something that you typically find on more expensive lights. It operates using motion detection to switch on the light only when required. The Motion detection distance is listed as 8m and a field of view around 120 degrees. When I have measured this out with a tape measure I found it to be around 7.5m so quite close to the specification. The light has a fixed timer length of 15 seconds which cannot be adjusted but I guess this is to conserve the battery levels. It can function as an always on night light or ambient daytime light with motion detection. I prefer to use it as a typical spot light in the PIR setting as I find this is most useful and conserves the battery when not needed.
The battery installed is a 3.7v 1500mah unit providing enough energy to run the light through the night if required. It does need to be placed in good spot to recharge from the sun if this is your primary use for it.
I placed the light outside unprotected from the elements at the bottom of the garden to test out the IP44 rating. This level of protection means the light is splash proof and not water tight like the listing describes but after a couple of weeks in some pretty difficult conditions it does not show any kind of leaking or damage. This may change later on in the future but only time will tell.
The big strength of this light for me is the ability to be self-sustaining which means the light can be placed anywhere without cabling limitations. I have a security light in the garden already but this unit helps to cover the area the other wont. Hopefully if this continues to impress I may be able to replace the mains powered one with another of this clever little lights.
I received this item at a discounted price in exchange for an unbiased review and all opinions are my own and given after thorough testing
Dropped it from about 7 feet whilst fitting it and it still works well. I've put it on setting 3 which is the PIR sensor reacting to movement (15 seconds illumination).
The arc of the sensor is not as wide as I'd thought though, seems somewhat less than 45 degrees or so.
Illuminates the porch very well, previously arriving home and getting the key in the door in the dark would have been a challenge. It's quite bright too so I'm going to buy a few more for security lighting around the side of the house.
Only gave 4 stars because I'd like to see how effective it is over time.
