This is my review for : 1Byone Amplified Digital TV Aerial, for HDTV / DVB-T Receiver, VHF / UHF / FM, Digital Freeview and Analog TV Signals, 30dB
At this price this is a decent portable aerial for digital TV. It is able to receive VHF, UHF and FM radio signals and is powered via a mains plug.
The package comes with the Main Aerial, 1.25m Coaxial Cable (Permanently Attached) plug and power lead and Instructions.
The aerial looks great with a glossy black plastic finish. The aerial has 2 small expandable metal antennas on each side that can also be moved up and down alongside a glossy plastic middle antenna.
There is a power indicator on the bottom and a control knob that controls the ON/OFF and gain adjuster settings. There is a blue power led on the base as well as a fixed coaxial cable that connects to your TV or free view box.
Overall a good looking aerial that does the job its designed for and at a very good price
I have full signal on every channel, just switched it on, put both antennas up and returned and hey presto.
I'm super pleased and for £6 it's a bargain.
I was very surprised as I'm in one of those areas that struggles for signal for most things.
Works well but only after fiddling with the aerials to find the 'sweet spot.'
Bought this to use with a spare TV in a room upstairs without a fixed aerial. After moving it around and fiddling with the settings I eventually found a position where we got a reasonable signal. It picks up must Freeview channels but not HD that requires a better (stronger) antenna, even though we live close to a transmitter and have line of sight to it. The final position looks a bit awkward in the room so bear this in mind. If you want a discreet aerial this is not likely to be it.
Happy enough with what we get because this isn't our main TV but if you are keen to see as many channels as possible you would need something better.
Flipping brilliant. Plugged it in, did a quick channel search and got an amazing picture. No tweaking required. Have had one before that needed constant adjustment and manipulation of ariel, and it was more expensive! Good buy
I live in a so-so signal area and with a bit of work and patience this got me a stack of freeview channels. There's nothing complicated about it, just plug it in and turn the dial to max. Construction is sturdy and of good quality for the price. I've read that people have broken them during tuning but can't really see how. I found the more windows it can see the better. I also found pointing the base at the window (it's arrowhead shaped) and then fine tuning the loop got good results. Overall it's a bargain.
I hadn't bought from 1byone before, so took a chance based on the good reviews. Very glad I did, as this turned out to be an excellent product. Far better than my previous amplified aerial that this was bought to replace. Rarely even have to use the built in signal amplifier now, but still useful on some channels.
My wall aerial stopped working for no reason and since it is a shared aerial, it is cheaper and easier than to chase the housing committee to rectify the fault,
this aerial worked right away from the box.
Works very well with a 32" LED HD TV I purchased for a bedroom ........... once the aerial is aligned, there were no issues at all, tuning the TV in was trouble free, and the picture quality has been maintained since.
An excellent value for money item, which I would recommend to buy.
This is the best indoor airel brought this for my mom to go with her freeview box and does the job brilliantly signal strength is very good in my mom bedroom only small movement of the ariel and the picture and sound quality is great mom is very happy great value for money and easy to understand and setup can't go wrong
Works perfectly as long as you put it close to the windows but it is the same for every indoor antenna. Very good signal quality.
