Set up Guide:

Step 1: Connect the end (IEC- male) of attached coaxial cable to the ANT / IN connector on the back of the TV or DVB-T tuner.
Step 2: Connect the external adapter to the DC jack at the antenna back and plug it to the wall socket. Or you can get the 5V power from antenna receiver through antenna cable.
Step 3: In the TV's setup menu, set the tuner mode to "Aerial" or "Air". Refer to the TV manual for detailed instructions.
Step 4: In the TV's setup menu, set TV to "scan" for channels. This can sometimes be listed as auto-program, auto-scan, channel search or channel scan. Consult the TV manual for detailed instructions.
Step 5: If reception is sporadic, try moving the aerial to another location and rescanning the TV.
Step 6: Placing the aerial higher or close to a window may result in better reception. You must rescan whenever you move the aerial.

1. If you use a flat HDTV, pls go through your TV manual to make sure your TV is with built-in tuner for freeview.
2. You should retune your Freeview TVs and digital boxes from time to time to ensure you are receiving all available services. Retuning takes only a few minutes and can be done with your remote control.

Brief success

Excellently packed, the aerial itself is light but robust, the finish is perfect. There is a nice long lead to connect it to the TV, the lead from the mains adaptor is considerably shorter (stupid). I did not expect good results because it would be used well away from a window, in the corner of a room.
The TV receives 374 TV, 112 Radio & 61 data channels (including duplicates) using the existing loft aerial which has got to go.
The 1byone aerial worked straight out of the box, receiving at least half as many channels as the loft aerial. This with the aerial perched on the top of a small cupboard beside the TV. My planned location for the aerial was on top of another nearby cupboard. Putting it there and switching on again - no signal. Returning it to the original location - no signal. I varied the gain and then wiggled the aerial lead where it enters the aerial hoping that the problem might be a loose connection that I had disturbed - no joy.
Judging by other reviews this is a fine aerial, when it works. As a retired electronics engineer I will open it up hoping to spot a dry joint or broken connection which I can repair!

OK for TV. Perhaps not FM & DAB?

Perhaps it is my fault or my location inside the premises! In most rooms I get a superb and clear signal for my radio.

From my house I have a clear line of sight to the Black Hill transmitter which puts out 125-250kW at FM frequencies. Bought for an FM tuner located at the rear of the property, farthest from the transmitter, I found there was no noticeable improvement over the whip antenna I had previously used, even at maximum gain. This doesn't mean the device is useless, just not as good as I hoped!

This antenna is probably better at 470MHz or higher but I do not have a portable TV with which to test it in that location.

I clearly need a device specific to the FM & DAB bands, something for which I will have to search deeper and harder.

Excellent if able to be put in the window

I have tried several of these types of aerials in the past, and they have all been a waste of money. The TV reception in my area is okay but certainly not great. This aerial has helped my TV tune into over 100 channels including freeview radio stations, although to do that I have had to reposition my TV so I can put the aerisl in the window. Located on the opposite wall to the window I could only pick up about 40 channels. A couple of the channels the picture isn't perfect but the majority of them are very clear. Generally very impressed and happy with this purchase.

Arrived very quickly but unfortunately it didn't pick up many channels at all. We had a poor signal from our outdoor aerial which is why we purchased this one but the signal quality was even worse than our outdoor one. This may just be due to where we live rather than the item itself though.

It's OK, in fairness I'm trying to use it downstair with my PC tuner, it's ok. I'm going to give it to my daughter for her TV in her room upstairs which I'm sure would get better results.
As for build and quality, can't fault it, it's just I'm asking too much of the product.

Honest review

Disappointed, have to move it around to get a good picture. Like the fact it is small and not intrusive in the kitchen. Not always easy for it to pick up a signal

Good but not the strongest signal. Didn't pick up all channels.

Best indoor aerial around

Plugged in and sat on window sill next to tv, found all available freeview channels. Have tried a few other indoor aerials and this is hands down the best one. Only flaw would be the electrical cable not being as long as the aerial cable but still worked out ok for myself.
